چکیده

In this paper we present a decomposition technique to systematically formulate the state equations in symbolic normal-form for linear and/or nonlinear time-invariant large-scale analog circuits with excess elements. The decomposition and the aggregation procedures are shown and an illustrative example is given. The computation program allows the formulation of state equations in a symbolic form without any inverse of a symbolic matrix, providing a symbolic or partially symbolic compact form.

Symbolic State Equations for Analog Circuit with Excess Elements

A new method, using a normal tree (NT) and symbolic simulator Maple V, to systematically formulate symbolic state equations for linear timeinvariant analog circuits with excess elements is presented. Our objective is to develop an algorithm so that a computer program can be written to formulate the symbolic normal-form equations of a large class of analog circuits containing linear resistors, i...

Direct Symbolic Analysis of Large Analog Networks

A new symbolic analysis approach for large analog integrated circuits is presented in this paper. It is based on the Coates graph representation and nodes exploding technique for construction of symbolic formulas. It can symbolically analyze large analog ICs without circuit decomposition. There are no limitations for the circuit topology and size. The analysis time and the memory required to st...

Solving systems of nonlinear equations using decomposition technique

A systematic way is presented for the construction of multi-step iterative method with frozen Jacobian. The inclusion of an auxiliary function is discussed. The presented analysis shows that how to incorporate auxiliary function in a way that we can keep the order of convergence and computational cost of Newton multi-step method. The auxiliary function provides us the way to overcome the singul...

Finding Ambiguity Groups in Low Testability Analog Circuits

This paper discusses a numerically efficient approach to identify complex ambiguity groups for the purpose of analog fault diagnosis in low-testability circuits. The approach presented uses a numerically efficient QR factorization technique applied to the testability matrix. Various ambiguity groups are identified. This helps to find unique solution of fault diagnosis equations or identifies wh...

Spice Compatible Model for Multiple Coupled Nonuniform Transmission Lines Application in Transient Analysis of VLSI Circuits

An SPICE compatible model for multiple coupled nonuniform lossless transmission lines (TL's) is presented. The method of the modeling is based on the steplines approximation of the nonuniform TLs and quasi-TEM assumptions. Using steplines approximation the system of coupled nonuniform TLs is subdivided into arbitrary large number of coupled uniform lines (steplines) with different characteristi...
